From the recording Footprints of Time

We were asked to sing this song at a memorable wedding a few years ago. The bride and groom danced to it in a large warehouse-like building on the beach in Connecticut, with a huge carousel at one end. Periodically, during the reception, the guests hopped on the horses and rode in circles as music blasted from the carousel's organ.

Lyrics

Love is a burning thing
And it makes a fiery ring
Bound by wild desire
I fell into a ring of fire

I fell into a burning ring of fire
I went down, down, down and the flames went higher
And it burns, burns, burns, the ring of fire
The ring of fire

The taste of love is sweet
When hearts like ours meet
I fell for you like a child
Oh, but the fire went wild

I fell into a burning ring of fire
I went down, down, down and the flames went higher
And it burns, burns, burns, the ring of fire
The ring of fire

I fell into a burning ring of fire
I went down, down, down and the flames went higher
And it burns, burns, burns, the ring of fire
The ring of fire
