ABOUT SLOGRASS

SloGrass has been performing, and recording, music for 35 years. We love Bluegrass, but our music reaches into many other musical traditions.

We reach back into the 19th century with songs like Aunt Dinah's Quilting Party, John Henry and When You And I Were Young, Maggie.

We reach out to the music from other continents. Our 3rd CD has a couple of Gypsy Kings tunes. Recently we've add the Mexican bolero, Sabor a Mi, to our songlist. In June of 2020, we recorded a virtual video of Bossa Dorado.

We love songs from the American Songbook: I'll See You In My Dreams, Don't Get Around Much Anymore, Nevertheless, I'm in Love with You, and Bye Bye Blackbird.

We've been Learnin' The Blues and Singin' The Blues with classics like Crossroad Blues, One Kind Favor, Blues Stay Away From Me, & Death Letter Blues.

We love to cover songs by Dylan, The Beatles, Buddy Holly, and many Singer-Songwriters.

Band members are Bob Dick on bass, Mark Whiting Davis on steel-string guitar, David DiBiasio on banjo, dobro & nylon-string guitar, and Fran McConville on mandolin.
